Friday January 8th

Good morning Reception! We hope you enjoyed the A-Z activites that we shared with you yesterday. These are activities that you can come back to again and again whenever you have time over the next few weeks.

Our topic this term is winter. It was lovely to walk to school today and see the frost glistening on the pavement and the frozen puddles! Fingers crossed we might get some more snow today!

Today we have some winter focussed activities that we would like you to complete.

Firstly, we would like you to write a specch bubble about what you like about winter. Try to start your sentence with 'I like ....' You can write your sentence (or two) on the lined speech bubble.

Secondly, we would like you to draw a winter picture on the winter picture frame. Don't forget to add lots  of detail in your picture. You could look out of your window and draw what you can see.

Thirdly, you can design some matching winter patterns on the winter clothes. Try to remember that the patterns need to match!

Finally, we thought it would be nice if you could share a favourite book with your grown up and write a book review on the book review proformas. We have done this in school lots so you should remember what to do. Don't forget to choose how many stars you want to colour in for your review. Try to start your review with 'I like...'

From Monday we will be uploading different videos every day onto this page so try to remember to check this page every day. You will be able to watch the videos more than once because it is very important to practise, practise, practise!

Please remember to read your fluency books and don't forget to watch Numberblocks and Alphablocks too!

You can call in to school for paper copies of the proformas if you do not have a printer at home.

We hope you enjoy these winter activities today and don't forget to watch out for the snow! Fingers crossed!
