HOME LEARNING MENU
Daily activities:
Spend time each day practising spellings and handwriting, working on Times Tables Rock Stars and reading a range of books.
TTRS - Children should practise for 10 minutes each day. They should complete a minimum of 3 Soundchecks and 3 Studio sessions each week to help the program check progress.
Spellings - The statutory spellings for year 2, 3 and 4 can be accessed below plus some fun ideas for different ways to practise (this will also be in their red spelling folder)
Reading - Any and all reading is good but please spend time talking to your child about their book as well as listening to them. There are ideas for fun activities to complete at home when a book has been read. Once a child can decode and read with some fluency they must then show that they can recall the events of the story and express opinions and preferences. It is also a great time to discuss new vocabulary and grammar.
