On Monday in school we start the week with our Music lessons. We hope that Miss Nolan (our Music teacher) is going to start providing Music lessons in the near future. In the meantime, Stockport Music have been adding videos to their YouTube channel including singing lessons with Jill Henderson Wilde.
Take a look below!
Welcome to our new week! This week we are going to be looking at another Traditional Tale - "Little Red Riding Hood"
Traditional Tales are stories that have been told over many years, time and time again. Can you spot any similarities in the story of the Three Little Pigs and Little Red Riding Hood?
Miss James is reading the story to you today and then she would like you to retell the story by making a story map!
I hope you enjoy and I can't wait to see some of your story maps!

Today we are learning the "ie" sound. We have already learned "igh" which sounds the same but looks different.
Join in with the video and play "4 IN A ROW"
Don't forget to keep going over any you are still unsure of from previous weeks!

This week we will be carrying on with addition and learning how to 'count on,' to calculate a missing number in a sum.
Watch the video and complete the activity. Shuffle number cards to 20 and choose a number. Roll a dice and add the number on the dice to the card you have chosen. Record your addition sum on squared paper.
Remember 1 square for each number and maths symbol.
A new line for each new sum.
Try and complete 10 addition sums.
Good luck mathematicians!
Use your child's Gmail account to log in and access the Google Meet with the link your teacher has sent you.
It is the same link everyday for your class.
Have you practised your spellings from last week? Let's check!
The new spelling words we will be practising this week contain the grapheme "ee" - watch the video below!
Please practise these spellings this week ready for next weeks lesson!

Today is our second Science lesson all about plants! We are learning about parts of plants and what they are needed for. Please see the videos and resources below.
Have a go at the flower labelling activity, seeing how fast you can label all the parts! Maybe you could race someone in your house. Your activity for today is to label the parts of the tree. If you would like an extra challenge, you could also complete the Plant Functions worksheet, writing a sentence explaining what each part of a tree does!
Science - Lesson 3 - Parts of Plants
Our plants have been growing! I have kept them on my windowsill in the sunlight and have been watering them. Have a look at the pictures to see what happened! The cress seeds have started to sprout. There is no sign of the carrots or peas yet as they take a little longer to grow. Hopefully they will start to show soon! If you planted seeds at home, are they growing? We'd love to see some pictures
