MESSAGE FROM MRS COLLINS
Dear Parents and Carers
Welcome back after the Easter break, I hope everyone is keeping safe and well.
There are a huge range of home learning resources available to parents and children at the moment and I understand it can be overwhelming to know where to start. Our teachers are picking out some of the best resources they have come across and are signposting children to these on the class pages of the website. Please try them out and see if your child enjoys them. I have received positive feedback on the BBC Bitesize lessons and the White Rose Maths resources this week.
Our teachers are continuing to write a daily message on the class page and are now uploading curriculum activities in English, Maths and other subjects every week. Please do not feel you have to do everything. We are trying to cater for different families in different home circumstances, do what you can and what your children enjoy.
Our SENDCo, Mrs Milne, is also continuing to update the SEND page of the website with resources to support children with Special Educational Needs https://www.didsburyroad.stockport.sch.uk/send/.
Thank you for sending in photos and work that the children have done at home. We love seeing what the children have been up to and although the teachers cannot always reply individually to every email, they have been providing feedback on the class pages.
Mrs Gibson and Mrs Gardner have updated the ‘Must Read Books’ section of our website. Please take a look https://www.didsburyroad.stockport.sch.uk/must-read-books/.
Miss James has also added a new Forest School page which provides lots of information about Forest School https://www.didsburyroad.stockport.sch.uk/forest-school/. Please email in any Forest school activities your child has done at home for the Forest School home learning page https://www.didsburyroad.stockport.sch.uk/forest-school-home-learning/.
If you are having difficulty accessing any of the home learning resources please let us know so we can help.
