MESSAGE FROM MRS COLLINS
Dear Parents and Carers
As we reach the end of a challenging term, I would like to thank you all once again for your continued support over the past few months. The last few weeks in school have been fantastic and it has been wonderful to have all the children back in the classroom, learning and playing with their friends.
Whilst we continue to follow the DfE guidance and implement additional safety measures we are working hard to keep school as 'normal' as possible for the children and ensure that they feel happy and settled. We are continuing to provide a broad and balanced curriculum and offer the children a range of indoor and outdoor learning opportunities. There is also an increased focus on PSHE and activities which support well-being alongside the teaching of key knowledge and skills in English, Maths and other subjects.
Next term we are taking part in a local community event organised by Sustainable Living in the Heatons and will be growing sunflowers as part of their Sunflower Growing competition. Each class has their own seeds which they will plant and care for. The aim of their sunflower growing competition is to bring colour to 2021. Sustainable Living in the Heatons are keen for more households to take part and if you want to grow your own with your children please complete the form here SLH Sunflower Project - Sustainable Living in the Heatons (slheatons.org) The closing date to apply for packs is 31st March.
I hope everyone keeps safe and well over the Easter holiday. In the event that a child receives a positive Covid test in the holidays please notify school via email@example.com or call the school mobile between 9am-3pm on 07585640667. Please leave a message and a contact number.
I wish you all a lovely break and look forward to welcoming the children back to school on Monday 12th April.
