Good morning Reception!

We hope that some of you enjoyed your final day in school on Friday! It has been lovely teaching you again!

This is our final week of home learning before the summer holidays! We can’t quite believe we are at the end of Reception and you are moving into Year 1 in September!

For our final week of home learning we have one last story to end our topic of ‘Blue Planet’. Our story this week is called ‘Billy’s Bucket’ by Kes Gray and Garry Parsons. The planning and resources are on our class page ready for you and your grown-up to look at together so you can choose some activities you would like to complete. They are in a new tab inside our ‘Home Learning 2020’ tab on our class page called ‘WB20.7.20 Billy’s Bucket’. There are lots of activities to choose from.

What has been your favourite book in our topic of ‘Blue Planet’? What have you enjoyed learning about the most? It would be lovely to hear from you, so post a photo or a comment on our class blog for all the Reception teachers to see.

Hope you have a wonderful week of learning, remember to keep practising your sounds, reading and numbers over the summer holidays so you are ready for Year 1. There are lots of website links that your grown-ups can help you find on our class page on our website. Oxford Owl has lots of stories you can read, there are phonics lessons you can watch on BBC Bitesize and Topmarks has lots of great games to help with your numbers.

Take care everyone and have a safe summer

Love from the Reception Team heartlaugh
