Today is our last lesson of the week on The Three Little Pigs (we will be doing more next week, all about a particular naughty character...). We have really enjoyed reading your brilliant character descriptions, well done!
Lesson 3 is all about sequencing the story. Please see the videos and resources below. Your task is to cut out the pictures and put them in the right order, then write a sentence describing what's happening in each picture. You can choose the version with 3 or 5 pictures depending on how comfortable you feel! You could also draw the pictures out and write the sentences on paper if you'd prefer not to print :)

Introducing TENS and ONES
This concept can be quite difficult for children to understand and it's so important that they do because it is the foundation of learning and understanding number as they go through school. Try your best to learn practically (hands on) with your child today to understand that numbers consist of tens and ones.
Watch the video , follow the power point at your own pace and complete practical work/the worksheets that you find suit you and your household.
The white rose videos are great to help with understanding!

Use the Oxford Reading Owl to read a story or use another website below. Sadly we cannot start leaving or issuing reading books at the front of school for children to collect for safety reasons.
We have been reading the story of 'The 3 Little Pigs.' Each pig built their own house. This week, we are going to make a house just like the pigs did!
See if you can make a house for the pigs using paper. How will you stick your house together? Will you use tape or glue?
You can use scissors to cut out the cube template to make a house shape, or, if you would prefer, you can make your own house design. Don't forget to decorate it with windows and a door so that it looks like a house.
When you have finished, see if you can 'blow your house down,' just like the wolf did in the story.
Complete the 3 Little Pigs worksheet to list what you used to make your house, draw your design and write a short evaluation.
We look forward to looking at your house designs!!
