English Wednesday 3rd Feb
In chapter 3 of The Iron Man, Hogarth regrets trapping The Iron Man in the pit.
Watch the teaching video or load up this week’s power point to help you write an apology letter to The Iron Man.
You have to pretend that you are Hogarth and you want to say sorry for what you did. Make your letter heart-felt so that its believable.
LO: To convert pounds and pence.
Practise x tables and division facts using our circles today. There is a document attached called Wednesday Circles. If you can print this out that would be great. If not then just write the answers for each circle in a list. Do as many as you can in ten minutes, then stop. We shall have another go at this next week to see if we are a little more confident.
Today we are investigating converting pounds and pence.
Please watch the video lesson.
Please work through the Wednesday Power Point to make sure you understand what was mentioned in the video.
Complete the Wednesday activity. This can be printed out or write answers in your home learning book. Please don’t copy all of the questions out, just write your answers. Use any jottings and methods you would like to work out your answers in your book too, just like we do at school!
Check your work alongside the answers.
If the above work challenged you then you do not need to do this activity. Look at the Wednesday Extension Activity and choose either p2,3 or 4. Challenge yourself to answer some of the problems. You can check using the answers and talk through these.
LO: To identify how to keep safe around medicines
It is really important that we know what medicines are, why we use them, where they should be kept and who should give them to us.
This lesson is all about exploring safety around medicines.
Please work through the Powerpoint below called Medicine Safety.
If you have any questions about anything that has been raised then you could ask these at morning check in tomorrow.
Use the cards below to discuss different situations related to medicines with an adult at home.
We need to be keeping as fit as we can be. As well as your walks and bike rides, try something new. If you have a scooter this is a great activity to keep you fit. I know someone in Year 3 has a pogo stick! I wonder if you are managing more bounces now!
Below are some suggested activities that may help you think of ideas. Consider using a fitness app or a fitness channel and get the whole family to join in.
