Warm Up

Today we are going to practise our halves of numbers again. Let’s see if we are more confident today.

Please use Hit the Button and click Halves

https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/hit-the-button

Then select from the list on the left.

Start with what you worked hard on yesterday then push a step forward again today.

Main Activity

Today we are building on our knowledge of equivalent lengths but using cm and mm.

Please watch the video lesson.

Please work through the Tuesday Power Point to make sure you understand what was mentioned in the video.

Complete the Tuesday activity. This can be printed out or write answers in your home learning book. Please don’t copy all of the questions out, just write your answers. Use any jottings and methods you would like to work out your answers in your book too, just like we do at school!

Check your work alongside the answers.

Extension

Challenge yourself further with the extension activity to see if you have really mastered equivalent lengths.

RE

LO: To examine similarities and differences between Christian, Islamic and Hindu prayer

Today we are going to look at three prayers:

Here is an example of the Gayatri Mantra from YouTube. You could use the first three minutes.: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UlnHON3tAXo

Here is an example from YouTube of the First Surah, the Opener, used in Islamic Prayer

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bs8fueRXh64

Here is an example from YouTube of the Christian Lord’s Prayer (this is a

classical version), https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzTHDZh35Vs

Things to think about:

What do they mean? Are they similar or different?

Look for similarities and differences – what do all three prayers say about God? What do they ask?

What do the prayers actually ask for?

Which prayer do you like the most and why?

You could talk to a parent/carer, sibling or friend about this work, or you could make a list of similarities and differences.
