Well being
Wellbeing at Didsbury Road
Our Designated Mental Health Lead is Miss Chambers (SENDCo and Y3 teacher).
If you are concerned about your child's wellbeing, please do not hesitate to contact Miss Chambers by emailing: admin@didsburyroad.stockport.sch.uk . Miss Chambers will support you in identifying what next steps can be taken to access support for your child. You can also find more information and guidance on the following website:

BounceTogether
We are a BounceTogether school and place mental health and wellbeing at the heart of our school community. The BounceTogether platform enables us to run a range of surveys with pupils, staff and parents/carers. We carry out surveys at regular intervals throughout the year or when necessary, to address particular needs within any cohort. As a result, we can gain a clear understanding of the mental health and wellbeing of our community and provide effective support.
Stockport Young People's Mental Health Support Team (MHST)
We are a MHST school and our practitioner, Mariola, is in school once a week to support our whole school approach to mental health and wellbeing and provide evidence-based interventions for individual pupils. Further information about MHST and the work they do can be found in this leaflet:
Mariola runs the Wellbeing Warriors lunchtime club every Monday. This is a safe space for children in KS2 to participate in meaningful activities which will give them the tools to support their wellbeing. Please speak to your child's class teacher if you feel your child would benefit from joining the club.
Learning and Welfare Mentor
Our Learning and Welfare Mentor is Mrs Powell. Mrs Powell is also an Emotional Literacy Support Assistant (ELSA). Further information about Mrs Powell's role can be found here:
